This policy explains how spacehead handles information when you use the spacehead mobile app and its related services.

spacehead is a self-help and reflection app, not a medical service or a replacement for professional care. AI replies can be wrong. Use the in-app report control when a Talk reply is unsafe or inappropriate.

Information we handle

Account information. When you sign in, we handle your email address, authentication provider, and account identifiers so we can authenticate you and restore your data.

Content and well-being information. You may choose to save onboarding answers, triggers, daydream themes, check-ins, dream notes, journal text, rescue activity, focus sessions, notification preferences, Talk messages, and other reflections. Because this can reveal sensitive details about your thoughts and well-being, we treat it as private user content.

AI feature information. When you use Talk or another AI feature, we send your request and the relevant context needed for that feature to our backend and AI providers. Talk history is kept on your device for up to seven days, but the messages and context used for a reply are processed by the providers described below. If you report a reply, we store the reported reply, the preceding message, your selected reason, and basic app details so we can review it.

Device, notification, and purchase information. We may handle your push notification token, platform, notification interactions, app version, and subscription entitlement. If you choose to allow anonymous diagnostics, we also process a small allowlist of feature events and technical crash data. These diagnostics do not include Dream Notes, journal text, Talk messages, speech, names, email addresses, or other private content. Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase and billing records. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Microphone and dictation. Microphone access is requested only when you choose speech dictation. spacehead does not intentionally save a raw audio recording. Your device or operating system speech-recognition service may process audio under its own terms before returning text to the app.

Why we use information

We use information to provide sign-in, cloud sync, journaling, rescue, focus, widgets, and personalization; generate Talk replies, reports, stories, and relevant notifications that you request or enable; operate subscriptions and restore Pro access; prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot failures, and review reported AI content; and respond to support and account-deletion requests.

Service providers

We use service providers only to operate the app. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, and server functions; OpenAI for Talk; OpenRouter and its model providers for selected generated reports, stories, or notification language; Google for sign-in, Google Play billing, push delivery, and device speech recognition; Expo for app and notification infrastructure; RevenueCat for subscription status; PostHog EU for anonymous product analytics when you opt in; and Sentry for private crash diagnostics when you opt in.

We do not sell personal information, run third-party advertising, or use your private notes for ad targeting.

Storage, security, and retention

Some data is stored locally on your device and some is synced to Supabase so it can be restored after sign-in. We use access controls and encrypted network connections, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We keep account data while your account is active and retain limited operational or security records only as needed to run the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

Age eligibility

spacehead is intended for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Your choices

You can keep anonymous diagnostics off or change that choice later under Privacy and data. You can also turn notifications off, choose not to use dictation or AI features, edit or delete individual notes, and delete your account. In-app account deletion is available under Profile > Name and sign-in > Delete account.

If you cannot access the app, use the public account-deletion page. Account deletion removes the linked RevenueCat customer profile, but it does not automatically cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled in the store where they were purchased.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its providers change. The latest version and its effective date will always appear on this page.
